36F (2.2C) outside, 77F (25C) inside. I heat the entire home via Distributed Computing (intelligent heat?). TeAm AnandTech is having the annual Folding@Home contest this month and on into January. If you need a bit more heat in your room, that's one way to do it.

Haha it's crossed my mind to mine BTC or something for extra heat but hydro costs way too much here. 25C indoor temp is way too hot though, but I could just cycle some outside air to regulate that. Need some nice 1U ASIC blades and fill a full rack.

That reading of 25C is at the thermostat, about chest high. I should set the HVAC to recirculate the air some, it's warm up top, cold at the feet, but just right at bed-level.

Hopefully my paltry contribution to heating my home with medical research will assist in better understanding of how to treat or cure something someday.

(If anyone's interested in turning their PC into a space heater, TeAm AnandTech could use the help, we accepted a challenge from a "My Little Pony" team (no joke) and, uhm, we're getting our butts kicked. )

Not sure of the exact temp outside...frosty though...local weather reporting stations vary from 21F to 30F...with most saying 24-25. Inside is a comfy 70 in MOST of the house...about 60 in the master bedroom...I'm still trying to find the cold sink that's making it so much cooler in there. Could be windows...they're old dual pane and not very good...could be crappy insulation in the floor...(I suspect that's the MAIN cause) Slated to remove the laminate flooring in there come spring...tear into the floor, put in good carpet and pad when the repairs are done.
