2C outside and 20C inside (New Hampshire). Annoyingly, I felt cold and put a sweatshirt on. WTF? When I was younger I used to go out at temp of 2C with a lined flannel shirt, hat and gloves.

Glad you asked. In Texas it is 74° within, and 80° without, in this noon hour. Wearing shorts while I can. Just sat in the sun for 40 minutes.

I always have this problem at the beginning of the winter then my body adjusts.

When I used to ski in Vermont a lot it was more extreme... I would come back from a week at Killington and be walking around Connecticut in a t-shirt without a second thought!

Current temps:

Living Room: 19.1°C (=)
Hallway: 21.6°C (=)
Server Room: 23.8°C (=)
HVAC Return: 20.8°C (=)
HVAC Supply: 21.6°C (-)
Outside: -0.6°C (=)
Delta Temp: 0.8°C

Getting nasty freezing rain/snow mix outside, solar production is done for the year as they are all caked in a crust now. Can't take that off. Turned off the inverter and the little power that makes it through will be enough to keep the batteries charged up.

When I build my homestead I'll put the panels vertical so this won't be as much of an issue.

Hmm, what is the delta temp of 0.8C???

If you could motorize the panels, so that you could tilt them up when freezing rain was coming and them reset them to an optimal angle for your latitude, that could give you the best of both worlds.

Delta temp is difference between return and supply. When hvac is on it will essentially show how well the hvac is heating or cooling. It was easy to add since it's just subtracting two values I already have anyway so figured I'd add it.

Motorizing would be pretty complex, lot of mechanical parts that need to be designed to work even in ice conditions. There's no real easy way to predict freezing rain as while sometimes there is a warning in the forecast sometimes it just happens. I do want to tilt them more though, I already have the hardware for that, just got lazy and next thing you know it's too late. I still need to drill some holes in some of the hardware to make it all work and have not gotten around to it. I actually bought a drill presss since trying to do it free hand was proving hard. Could not get all the right unistrut parts I needed to do what I want so kind of had to jerry rig stuff and it involves drilling to the side of the rails.

76F inside 74f outside at 6am local time.
Air conditioner is set at 77f.

I have gotten used to 75f inside the house as long as there is some air movement,
such as from ceiling or desk fans.

In the midst of making some changes in the house, so very little in the way of heat source. Currently only one LP wall heater in use and that's in a distant room, yet the temp inside has only dropped 3 degrees since 8PM last night.

Gonna do a wood fire in the cast iron stove in a few minutes though.

-16 with -25 windchill outside
20 inside.

Also another winter storm special weather statement in effect. It seems this year we are getting a more "normal" winter, as in, what every winter was like 20 years ago. Fun stuff.

20-21C inside, -17 outside, with windchill of -28. Suppose to go down to -32.

Have a couple feet of snow in my driveway since I've been on night shifts and have not dealt with it for past few days so it's been accumulating. Chances are the plow will go by overnight so probably won't have a choice tomorrow morning but to deal with it so that I can park. Neighbours are not going to like me lol.

54f inside UGH!!
74f inside and 78f outside at Noon local time today.

Back in the days before central heating in most homes there was a dang good reason for all-terrain slippers, heavy flannel PJ's and stuff like woolen night-Caps"!

When the only significant heat in the house is an big iron stove downstairs in the kitchen, extra insulation is a requirement. Waking up blowing steam in your bedroom cannot have been a lot of fun.

And don't even get me started about using the bathroom!

Doing well on my "don't turn the heating on till Christmas" policy.

I suspect I'm getting to free-ride on my neighbours heating, to some extent.
