What temps should I be getting: 8700k with EK Custom loop?

So I have an 8700k, overclocked to 4.9ghz at 1.32v where it is stable.

I have a 360 EK "performance editon" radiator, with triple thermaltake fan setup in a inwin 303 case.

What temps should I be getting during stress testing? I seem to get around 84c cinebench, and 89c during Prime 95 small test 26.6.

Seems a bit high, doesn't it? Grizzly thermal paste, maybe I should try something else or reapply.

Or is that temp range normal for an 8700k at 4.9 1.32v?

Are you using the AVX offset to lower the clocks during AVX ops?

I was wondering the same thing. I'm having similar issues with an 8700k at 5GHz 1.34v with EK SE (slim) 360 rad in the same inwin 303 case and temps under prime hit ~80c, if not just over. If I drop to 4.8GHz 1.29v it shaves a good ~10c off temps to the high 60's.

What CPU block are you using rondocap? I'm using EK supremacy EVO.

Yes I am using avx offset -3. I am also running the supremacy evo block.

If I bring it back to stock, temps drop 20 degrees.

Previously I had a single 120 radiator h70, and that’s why I’m curious why I didn’t see much improvement with 360 rads and water cooling, maybe 5-7 degrees.

Delid? This sounds like the stock TIM is your bottleneck.

I'd expect those kinds of temps on a non-delidded 8700K with a more conventional cooler. The temps you're reporting are very high, so I'm assuming you haven't delidded. I have a delidded 8700K with an Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 (using included MX-4 paste) running at 5 Ghz (-2 AVX offset) and 1.3 V IIRC and with Prime 95 small FFT, I am in the low 70s max - I think 3 of the cores go into the 70-73 range and the other 3 stay below 70. I can actually hit 5.1 Ghz with a -2 AVX offset if I increase voltage to 1.41, but it isn't worth it for me.

IMO, you really should be delidding especially with that cooler setup.
