What the?? 100 years of SETI time lost in the last 24 hours??

Hi people,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that yesterday, we had something in the vicinity of 1500+ SETI CPU years, and today that's dropped down to around 1414 CPU years...

I'm not yet familiar enough with all the members to know exactly who's left, (I read Engineer's thread about the Cube possibly changing their names or something), but where did this 100 years go???

Please feel free to let me know if I imagined all this I've been doing some crazy imagining recently!! lol!

The SETI official page is extremely slow to update, and is usually way out of date. It may just now be picking up the loss of The_One, Darkone and the others who've left recently.

Here's a rough calculation:

Robor has 51000 WUs and 55.5 CPU years. According to OK's weekly report, the TeAm is down 117000 WUs or so in the last week. So, that's over double what's Robor's got, we'll call it 120 years or so, although he has a lower average time than most, so you can add a few more years to the calculation, so say 125... Now, subdract about 10 years for the almost 10000 WUs from new members this week (again, according OK's weekly report), so we're at somewhere around 115 years, give or take 20 or so

I agree that Berkeley's stats are usually behind, but only by about 8 hours or so...

Its going to be interesting to see what today's stats will be like when the reports come through in the morning (USA time...)

Also, how do Hellburner and Ohiodude get such up to date stats from?? They are as up-to-date as the individual seti stats pages in most instances! :Q

The individual stats are as you say, but the totals at the top are alway off!

Thanks a stack JWMiddleton!! That's what I've been looking for for ages and ages!!!!

Although I'm still concerned, by looking at that page, that we are some 100 years short as compared to yesterday... that link still only shows 1415 odd CPU years... hmm...

I guess I'll just wait for the Statsmasters!! as in HB and OD!!
