I do that a lot. But I also talk like that too....I pause to consider my words.

I also use the dots when I am noting customer's accounts.

"Keith CI to CX HSI....saved with $29 12 mo promo"

What does this mean in a sentence......................

Good Afternoon Larry...............

I can meet you at your house..............at 10 am to talk if you can.

If you can let me know..............

The above is just a sample. I have a friend who does this in every email he sends. He is guy I play TF2 with and is a nice guy but I have no idea why he does this.

Here, this should make it MUCH easier to understand.

Good Afternoon Marklar...............

I can Marklar you at your Marklar ..............at 10 am to Marklar if you can.

If you can let me Marklar ..............

You're welcome!

they're dots :awe:

(and from a word processor standpoint an ellipsis is separate punctuation and that's good because you don't want a line break in the middle of an ellipsis.)

Can you tell me where the dot key is on my keyboard? I'm having trouble finding...it.

I hate to be stereotypical, but it really plays into this topic.

I notice a certain race/ethnicity seems to have the habit of putting spaces between the periods of their sentences. It really stands out, but I think this is teethering into the psychological world between how the brain works.

An example of that form of writing that I'm referring to is something like..

Shiro Ishii was a Japanese microbiologist . and the lieutenant general . Unit 731. A biological warfare unit of the Imperial Japanese Army . During the Second Sino-Japanese War . A position that led to him being accused of war crimes .

RACIST!!!!

On a related note...the hot Asian girl at work got engaged. She calls herself a ninja and her fiance kinda looks like a pirate.

I like to make them 4 dots long instead....

you eyes expect 3, then you take a second look at "woah, there really are 4. that guy is mad!"

I'm crazy like that!...
.

Really, it's because I like the number 4 more than the number 3. I'm numberist.
Or else you just think, "woah, this guy's spastic!"

Its hesitation. Most people add that when they want to sex the other person but can't say it.

It's why the ant ran across the top of the cracker box.

It reads "TEAR ACROSS DOTTED LINE".

I use it because I tend to trail off on thoughts. Especially if I'm hunting for an answer or am unsure of something. The longer the dotted line, the more unsure I am

I guess it shows uncertainty. but then, that must mean I'm an uncertain person...
