My question what in the heck were the latex gloves being used for that were flushed down the toilet?!??!?!?!?!

Maybe someone getting real kinky trying to become a member of the mile hile club? Maybe someone with OCD afraid of catching TB from the recent news story?

What do you guys think?

Continental sucks in general, just used them a couple of weeks ago on a transatlantic trip. Delays in Brussels, delays in Newark, delays in Boston, you have to pay for a friggin beer. No wonder that most US legacy carriers are almost bankrupt, the service sucks in general

I have a little theory that those gloves once belonged to a housekeeper who was cleaning the lavatory before flight and flushed them down. I?m not too sure if a toilet works when the plane is on the ground though. If it were the case though I?m sure they don?t want to own up to the fact that one of their housekeepers did it.

Unless you are in first class you have to pay for beer on every carrier AFAIK.

i flew with KLM/Air France and Brussels Airlines in cattle class in april and beer was free.


the thing that gets my blood boiling are the delays. EVERY time that I used Continental I had a delay because of "technical" problems. 2 weeks ago we sat on the tarmac of Newark for more then 1 hour on an already delayed flight because of these "technical" problems. Bunch of amateurs

The same goes for the Spanish carrier Iberia (known here as Miseria). Also a bunch of amateurs

Ahh OK, I was speaking about American domestic carriers, we've been getting that $5 beer treatment for a long time.

I personally won't fly Continental and Newark is one of the worst airports I've ever visited, they have very ignorant and rude staff. The last time I flew Continental I had an experience pretty similar to yours and this wasn't an international flight, this was Atlanta to Newark to Halifax, worst 22 hours of my life.

The best part was that none of the staff would give any kind of explanation about what the problems were or that there was even a problem until 30 minutes after the flight should have boarded.
