Which leads me into the other thing I don't understand. No one on your list is on there w/o your permission. If everyone of your friends on there are "elitist assholes", then what does that say about you and your "friends"? I only add people that I actually consider friends. I know, it;s a crazy concept, but if billy bob, who you met once 3 years ago in passin, sends you a friend request, you don't have to accept it.

if you don't like it, delete your account. Otherwise, leave us be who use it and appreciate it for what its good at - keeping friends connected, especially geographically distant friends

I think it's safe to say they royally fucked up. The #1 searched for item on the help page is 'old facebook'. Plus they even admit you can't filter out status updates from that retarded ass news feed.

"Stories on the home page reflect real-time updates from people you know. They are listed in chronological order. For example, if your friends frequently update their status, these updates will appear on your home page, with the most recent at the top.

You can filter stories associated with applications (e.g., Photos, Links, or Notes) by clicking the application?s name in the left column of your home page. They will still be listed in chronological order."


So they're basically saying "yeah, if you have 100 friends and half of them update their status on a given day you can forget about seeing anything you actually WANTED to see on the feed".

^ yup. I really don't think status updates are the biggest reason for FB. It seems to hang above every other piece of information, like you became friends with someone, you wrote on someone's wall (not that these are terribly important either). Just put it back the way it was where it was chronological no matter what category.

BTW, I read that 92% of users who voted in that FB poll said they hated it.
