What the Hell is wrong with NY and NJ people's attitudes?

I do sales and support over the phone and i am constantly getting attitude problems with people from New York and New Jersey. They think the world revolves around them and that you will magically make everything better with their every beck and call(thanks mr. wizard .) They also throw a fit when they need something done that is beyond anyone's control no matter how patient you are. I ask you this, am I the only one that think people from these 2 states suck? What's your opinion and experience with people from this area?

I work in a grocery store. Same attitude is exhibited there. I really don't like it and even though I cannot give an explanation as to why they act the way they do, I can say I am glad I'm leaving in a few months.

j/k, in my opinion people are just not used to the way things are handled in those states. We don't feel the need to be all cheery when complaining.
