I received two of the 8inxp's yesterday..I had ordered two when Newegg had them as well as the two I ordered from Mwave(I have confirmation that the Mwave ones have actually shipped). These are really nice, well made boards. Even comes with a couple extra books...a 60 page book on IDE RAID setups and a 30 page book on SATA RAID setups. It also came with the adapter for external SATA connections...I thought that might be an option(don't plan on using it anytime soon but nice to have for later). Even the DPS module has some heft to it...nothing seems flimsy like some of the boards I've dealt with lately. I was concerned about the cost compared to other options but if it is as stable as everyone has stated it will be worth the extra. I can't build yet 'cause the rest of my system parts won't be here til Tuesday. I just hope the Swiftech MCX 4000 fits...there is a capacitor right next to the CPU retention ring. I am pairing it with a P4 2.66 and hope to run the fsb at 166...although I usually like to push the heck out of a system I am not that concerned as long as I get past the 3 Gig mark. The wierd thing is that I won't have any PCI boards to install???? I will be so glad to be done with Creative for sound that I wont re-install my SBLive unless the on-board sound really sucks. I also have 1Gig of Samsung pc2700 which is usually good to 200 but won't have to go that high to max out the system. That is one of the reasons I bought the Granite Bay...the extra cost for the board is offset by being able to use cheaper ram and still beat the crap out of anything else available(well...almost anything else available). As far as I'm concerned, Springdale is still vaporware...sure it's going to get here, but when? So for those of you who had decided on Granite Bay, keep the faith, it still is a good decision and it won't be much longer. Of course, if they turn out to be buggy pieces of crap I will edit my posts!
