Probably just your cpu.
I'm at 160fsb on the board. 166fsb isn't stable on it though, that's the highest pci speeds you could possibly ever get.
Try for 160fsb, don't go from 150 to 166, that's one hell of a leap, and not even worth it. (1:1 divider)

Corsair XMS Platinum PC3000 CAS2 ?

It wasn't the Platinum, it was regular Corsair XMS.
If you want to check, go see Xeen at www.sharkyforums.com

His stick died since then, but I'm sure he still has the SiSandra bandwidth bench.

...by the way, it was on a P4S533 with an NWa cpu (125/3*6*2=DDR500)

hehe. booting is one thing, being stable is another history.

moreover he said he was stable @ 160Mhz but not @ 166Mhz with the same motherboard.

Yes, but SiSandra bandwidth benches are a little different from booting up.

If you're considering the memory unstable at those speeds, it's only comical that you say that even AFTER I just told you he ran
a memory bandwidth stressting test, as well as gave you the link to the forum it was posted in, as well as the forum containing a search utility.

...although, some people aren't as intelligent as their post count, I suppose.

memory stressing test doesn't mean crap...not to be rude...but i can run sandra...but once you run real stressing test like 3dmark2k1 se...game tests...or prime95....if he passed all that...then i will consider it stable

well, THUGSROOK just said before that he tried a huge overclocking bootup (3.2Ghz) which required a highly vCore voltage. & *Ouff*, its processor is safe. (he didn't fry it during this test).

btw, what vCore voltage did you use for this OCing?

What's the story on the Kingmax PC3000/3200? I read somewhere that people are having trouble running anything near those bus speeds.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything good about the Kingmax, either, Corsair is the way to go for the DDR 400 stuff.

So anyway, we're talking about memory bus speeds, right? Or are we still slamming the experienced members? :disgust:

Just wanted to add my speed: DDR400 @ 150fsb so far. Using Corsair XMS3200.

512Mb True Samsung PC2700 is doing 2.5-6-3-3 @ 150fsb 3:4 = DDR400 @ 2.70v

This is the newer DTL-CB3 stuff.
