As for your power supply choice, the Corsair 650TX, while it's a nice unit, there are better for same price out there.

The Antec TruePower line is built by Seasonic on a newer platform (a hybrid of the M12D platform) than the CWT built 650TX, which is built on CWT's older PSH platform. The Antec has better ripple/noise suppression, better efficiency, and and is an overall better buy for the $5 higher price than the Corsair unit.

OK....for a few dollars more I will take your word on this. I just changed my cart.

I updated the first post to reflect the needs for this new build.

I had to place a hold on this build, but now I do need to build a new machine. The machine is no longer going to be used for video editing, but it will be used as a virtual server running several different Operating systems.

So...video doesn't matter at this point

Intel i7-920 D0 @ Microcenter (NIB Retail) = $199.99 + tax + shipping (you'll likely have to have someone nice willing to buy and ship for you if you don't have a MC near you)

That'll shave about $200 right off the top for you.

Microcenter has the same HSF you're looking for for $24 or so.
Paying $10 for AS5 doesn't really make sense when the stuff that comes with the Hyper 212+ is going to do just fine (unless you're going to overclock to high hell - which for a VM server really isn't a good idea).

Anyhow, just some suggestions.
