What to do in Seattle

I'll be in Seattle to interview at Microsoft for their Finance BA program...anyway theyre flying me in a day early and getting me a rental car.....so what is there to do in Seattle for a day??? Im staying at the W downtown....any good bars around there?

Might as well do the downtown touristy sh1t. Pikes Place Market, Hindrix museum, Space Needle etc...

Pike's is a must. Thier zoo is OK, if it hasn't been winterized yet. Thier aquarium is old, damp and large/good enough to be fun.

I was angered by the aquarium. They really cramp the fish. Things like an 18" fish in a 48" aquarium. Waaaaay too small.

The outside part and the salmon river were both neat.

Plenty to do, and plenty of good bars. Check out Post Alley... some good stuff in there. For a dive with crappy service but excellent food, check out the Hurricane Cafe. It's on like 7th and blanchard or something like that. I work right across the street. Dick's drive in for good greasy burgers, Freemont for the "naturalist" crowd... capital hill and perhaps the U district for some college type fun. Depends on what you like to do!

try the underground tour where you get the history of seattle, watch a sonics game, go to EMF museum, space needle, take a ferry ride, go to pikes...thats what i did

Lots of live music, great unique places to eat, Pikes, Elliot Bay Park, Piers, EMP, Space Needle, GameWorks...lots of stuff. Too bad the weather isn't going to be so great this week.

basically everything is listed, U district is really cool to walk around in, or you could explore the bellevue/mercer island area and see how rich everyone is. Or you could drive by medina and see Bill Gates house and my freinds house who lives down the street.

there's so much to do there....many bars, lounges, breweries, CAFEs (!!!), Pike Place Market, Space Needle, etc..etc...etc...

I'd recommend pike place market, check out the seafood restaurants (seafood is good there), visit one of the breweries/pubs etc.

If you have time Mt. Ranier is fun too

Like somebody else said, the underground tour is wicked cool.

Look up a little place called Sunfish if you like fish and chips. Or in my case, prawns and chips with a side of clam chowder.
