Drag and drop is something we do daily in our iPhone and iPad. Whether you are a writer, a photographer, a musician or a designer, we all drag and drop while we work with our phones and iPads. If that feature doesn´t work, then it is big problems, so let´s see how to trouble shoot that and get it fixed right away.
Basic Troubleshooting: Turn Them Off and On Again
Basic troubleshooting golden rule is to restart whichever software or electronic equipment that is not working correctly.
For iPad
The ‘ON/OFF’ button is located at the bottom right corner of your device (horizontally) or the top right corner (vertically). Press it and hold it until you get the option to turn it off on the screen.
For iPhone
For iPhones using iOS 12, the way to turn them off is to press the 'Side' button and either of the 'Volume' buttons together until the slider appears on the screen.
Basic Troubleshooting: Hard Reset
‘Hard Reset’ on iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X (iOS 12)
In order to do a hard reset on this kind of phone, you have to follow a series of three movements that is very easy. First, press the 'Volume Up' button and release it. Then repeat the same action with the 'Volume Down' button and finally the 'Side' button until the black screen and the big Apple appear on the screen.

Press the ‘Home’ and ‘ON/OFF’ Buttons at the Same Time
To achieve the proper hard reset on your iPad you have to go past the moment of the slider to turn it off and you will reach a point in which the screen goes completely black and a big white apple appears in the middle. The iPad will go off and then back on again on its own.
If none of this techniques work to get drag & drop working again, you can try a factory reset but then you will lose all info not stored on other devices.
