What to do with 1.5 year old on a 6+ hour drive? Drug her with Nyquil?

Her bladder is still immature. It will be absolutely NECESSARY for you to stop several times. Stop at a rest area and let her play at the park with a McDonalds playland stop before and after. We stop 4-5 times on a ten hour car trip, I suggest you stop at lest three.

Really, it's a good idea. just try to get out of the *rush* mindset and take your time. Your niece will love you more for it in the end.

Ahhh - I made it!!!! She slept almost the whole way their, not a single problem, not even a poopy diaper! The last hour of the trip, we spent the time singing in traffic

A 1,5 year old should fit in the trunk. just put in some blankets and pillows to muffle the noise.

Keep her up as much as possible the night before and she will sleep for most of the way there...

Of course, after the trip, when everyone else is really tired from teh trip, she will be ready to go...
