Yes. It is curved inward. I have got used to sitting at a curve using a corner desk at work. At home, I wanted a desk that was a not a corner desk, but had a curve.
Make sure you use painter's tape to mask off anywhere a saw sled will hit to prevent scratches.
IMHO I'd use a metal band saw. I used to have one rated for steel, I never really used it so gave it to someone that could to make room for my table saw.
A metal shop should have one of those too. It's mostly a process of setting up the cut and turning on the saw. Gravity does the rest. They shouldn't charge much for that, maybe an hour labor if they don't break it down by increments.
