What to see in Sacramento?

I'm planning to go for a day trip to Sacramento tomorrow, so was wondering what to do there. It's family trip (wife, baby and me), so no wild bar hopping. Just tourist style.

So far I have:

- old Sacramento
- ride on a steam engine (train museum)
- State Capitol (and park)
- maybe Sutter's Fort.

Anything else worth seeing?

the sutter's mill thing is cool, but not worth paying for any tours. can't think of much more to do in sacramento. I'll be there for Thanksgiving visiting my godparents.

Yeah, I thought about it, but we just recently came back from San Diego, visiting the zoo there. I don't want to go to any other zoo so early, because it will look miserable

Thanks! I think, I'll save this one when we decide to do a tour of Gold Rush county and hwy 49. It's a bit of a drive, and I'm sticking to Sacramento center only.

sacramento is like hicksville, california compared to every other major city

Not if you go into Fair Oaks or Antelope or Orangevale. Even Carmichael is pretty nice for the most part. Fair Oaks and Howe isn't hicksville, it's just the sh1tty part of town.

I dunno if it's only yesterday and today (Sat/Sun) but there's a Greek Food Festival downtown at the convention center and we go pretty much every year, and I guarantee it's some of the best food you'll ever have. It might be going on Monday too, not sure, but definitely check it out if you've got a chance.
