I currently have 2 digital camera... have been using the HP 315 for the past couple of months... but it's picture quality is not that good and has no optical zoom...

so last night I got the Kodak DC5000... still have to play around with it a little bit more, but so far it's great! Picture quality is very good in most conditions (well good enough for me, since it's only for casual use)...

I've got:

SLR - Minolta Maxxum STsi camera w/a 28-80 and a 70-200 lens. It takes great pictures for what I use it for, which is photography for my school's newspaper.

Digital - KBGear JamCam 3.0. Laugh if you want, but I just keep it in my glovebox in the car. A few months ago, my car was vandalized in my school's parking lot (windshield broken, car walked on), so I keep the JamCam in the glovebox for security. It's come in handy for more than a few candid car shots, though.

use an Olympus 3030Z, but still prefer the photo quality of my 35 mm's, to say nothing of using my C330.

biggest complaint I have is the inability of digital cameras to take the pic at the same instant I press the shutter button. too many times have I missed a key shot waiting for the digital to calculate then record the image. and after doing extensive slide scanning and powerpoints, the resolution difference between the 35 mm and a digital is quite evident.

perhaps dropping 5000- 8000 on a high end digital would change my mind, but there would be too many other film units that i would buy first.
