what video card to choose ?

let us supposes there is no money shortage , what video card would you prefer? :
asus v7700 ( gts engine )
creative geforce 256 pro
I am to spend ( or enjoy , depend on the point of view ) a lot of money so pleas be sincere

if i were you i'd spend alittle less money and get the pro ddr...i mean you can pick those up oem brand new for like 160...kicks the crap out of anything else other than the gts....do you see youself spending 300 on a card that will last you maybe half a year? or a card that will last a half a year and still save you a hundred bucks to by something else??? and also can you really see a big difference in actual gameplay the diff between 100fps and 120???? if so you are a better man than i am...besides you don't actually play at that speed so who gives a damn how fast it runs....=)

If you want 2d quality the 3DFX Voodoo 5500AGP is the way to go. I still get very 190's fps ave. when playing Q3 and everything in 2d looks wonderful. If all you care about is FPS then maybe Nvidia is the way to go but the difference in speed is irrelevant because your eyes can't refresh fast enough to tell. They will both give you rock steady FPS in just about every game but the Voodoo give much better 2d performance(based on what I have seen personnaly).
