93 Mazda 626. Got it a few weeks ago and oh man its so nice having a car, I really like it. It has 128k miles and a bunch of minor probs with it but I don't care. I'm hoping it'll last 3 or 4 years (maybe 165k miles) without much repairs. Only thing I'm worried about is the tranny since its the original and the fluid hadn't even been changed ONCE since the owner had it till I had it done yesterday.

First car was a '67 Pontiac Catalina (truly a land-yacht); a '76 Cutlass Supreme with a 350 Rocket in it (a bit of a waste 'cause I had it in Hawaii); A 442 can't remember the year and it was just a re-badged Cutlass anyway; a '88 Ford pickup that was crap; a '90 or '91 Cutlass Calais S the last year the Calais was made; a '94 Maxima in '94 that I got up to 140 mph a couple of times (you gotta' leave it in 4th); a '97 Nissan pickup and then an '88 Buick and finally a '98 Nissan pickup.

First car when I turned 16 in 1994 my mom gave me a 1973 Ford Galaxy.. Biggest car in the world. that thing was HUGE and Long.

2nd car.. My grandma sold me for $1.00 her 1978 Chevrolet Caprice.. Good car. nice big chevy engine. Smaller then the Galaxy. SO I liked. this was 1995

3rd 1996- Christmas.. My dad Bought me a brand new 1996 Chevy S-10 Pickup. He had to drive my Caprice one day, and Only the passanger side door opened, and It was leaking oil big time, and he didnt feel like fixing it anymore. Only thing is this was a stick shift. So I spent 3 days after Christmas stalling and learning stick.

4th. 1997. We traded in my Truck, because the payments were way high and it had been broken into 6 times. But they failed to steal. So I got a New 1997 Dodge Neon. The upscale model.. power everthing.
and I still love my car and still have it.. beings that the payments are only 189. But I'll be getting A Dodge Durango sometime in 2002

1964 Pontiac Catalina, 4dr, 389 v8 $40.00
1977 Ford Hippie Van, temporary vehicle because my old $40 car died after 4 mos.
1978 Ford Mustang 5.0, King Cobra edition, I think about $6k
1984 Pontiac Fiero, $10,000 my first new car.
1988 Ford Taurus, $7500
1988 Ford Bronco II, $8500
1991 Ford F150 XLT Lariat, $14,000(my favorite of all time)
1963 Corvette Convertible, $11,000
1993 HD Fatboy, $15,500
1989 HD Electra Glide, $9,000
1994 Lincoln Mark VIII, 14,000
1998 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan $21,000

1973 Chevy Caprice Classic Convertible
1976 Linc-Merc Capri "Black Cat" German import with Roc-Stock Turbo
1981 Mazda RX7
1982 Mazda 626 (needed a back seat, but kept the RX7 too!)
1987 GMC S-15 Jimmy 4x4
Brief interuption to become married w/children
1995 Dodge Grand Caravan (like I said, children)
and most recently, thanks to the Coors Light X-Citing Car giveaway Sweepstakes
2001 Nissan Xterra SE V6 4x4 with everything.

In the early 80's after the infamous leaked Japanese gov't memo that said how stupid and gullible we Americans were that we would buy anything the Japanese sent us at enormous mark-ups (which came true anyway since then - look at the mark up on the Accuras, Lexus and Infinity's and we eat them up, not to mention that in 1999 the AVERAGE profit that was returned to Japan per Japanese SUV sold in the USA was $7000, and it has gone up since then!) I decided that I wouldn't buy another Japanese auto, but if they wanted to give me one I would take it - well, they gave me one, almost 20 years after I bought my last import.

Yeah, that 389 would humiliate my friends in their camaros and mustangs. I could lay a patch of smoking rubber as long as I kept my foot in it. Luckily, the 4 ply tires were pretty cheap, especially if you bought recaps.
(only the right rear though!) It was pretty hilarious.

Talk about tanks....this car couldn't even fit in a two car garage, it was too long! It was as long as, or longer and wider than today's Expedition.

Man, it was ugly, but it was my first car, and I loved it. I bought it cheap because it didn't run and it belonged to an old couple in their 80's who already had two cars. They decided they only needed one car since they were in their 80's.

One timing chain and gears later, I was rolling!

Is it just me or is there a trend toward away from domestic cars to the imports (even if they're imports made in the US)?

First: '91 Civic sedan
Second: '95 Dodge Neon Sport
Current: '95 Mitsubshi Eclipse GS-T...
