1966 Ford F 100, 300 c.i. straight 6 and a 4 speed. I still have it, one day I'm going to restore it.

That was a GREAT powertrain combo in its day. You can't kill those big sixes!

A 1989 Dodge Colt. Which gramps gave me after it has 250,000 thousand miles on it. It was awesome had a hole in the floor. Smelled like an animal died in it, had a combination motor oil/dried kitty litter crust in the rear carpet. The body was a mismatch of junk yard parts. It was wrong looking in every way imaginable. Still though it was a champ when it came to running right I never had a single issue. Always started had killer gas mileage never once broke down till I sold it @ 375,000 miles

Yeah, it has a lot of miles on it, the odometer quit working at about 170,000 miles. I drove it every day for about 6 years after that before I parked it. It still runs, but needs a lot of work.

1969 Camaro. $550 from a junk yard when I was 16 (1979). Took about a 18 months to get it looking/running good!

Corvette Beige with slightly flared fenders
4 Speed close ratio Muncie
3 1 barrel carbs on an Offenhauser intake
50's on back, 60's on front
Air Shocks (of course)
Leather interior (courtesy of my granny)
Clifford Headers
Jensen Triaxial 6 x 9's
(That's all I seem to remember. It was a long time ago..)

Well I had a Chevy G20 cargo van that my dad gave me but it was still under his name.

My first true car I bought and put under my name is a 1995 V6 Camaro Convertible for $1400. I beat the shit out of it but it keeps running.

I guess it is better than getting a hand me down escort wagon or something.
lsX swap candidate there anyway 1st I bought was in 1981 a Pearl White 1974
mechanical lifters(higher revving potential ), reworked 2 barrel carb on top of a 2.8 V6, 8" lsd( nice twin strips of rubber ), and that lovely beside the shifter ..e-brake

when did you go to high school? I'd bet that boat couldnt pull even a 14 sec quarter mile.

Most 'ricers' have at least NOS or a turbo putting them in the 13's or better.

Or are you just talking about beating civics and sentras?

<= 13 isn't ricer.

not according to most. Fuck a 10 sec civic with a wing on the back would be a ricer to most here.

I don't think in ricer terms. I could care less if someone brought a VW Vanagon to the track.
