C64, then moved on to a C128-D (twice the speed of the C64, 640x200 resolution, and detachable keyboard).

You know what would be really cool... for those of you that still might have those "Oldschool" computers around, get a picture up of it on the web, either just sitting there, or actually... turned on!!! That would be UBER cool... ultimate cool... give some of us newschool computer guys something to see

Just a thought... if anyone is interested... it would be cool

First one I can remember our family having was an Apple IIe, IIRC.

First one I owned was a 16mhz 386SX w/ 2mb ram(later upgraded to 10mb via an ISA card -- yes, I know that meant my ram was running at 8mhz) I was given summer '01. From there, I went to a 120mhz 486DX4(AMD), then a 233mmx PMMX, then a 400mhz P2...I bought my current computer in late '03.

Each new computer opened up another world of things I could do with it. so, in just that few years, I've run my share of OS'es/games/Programming enviorments/etc.

First Intel based computer was an actual IBM XT with CGA graphics, 2 x 5 1/4 floppy and a huge 20mb MFM Seagate HD.
I was actually able to upgrade it to VGA. The card was $450 and the monitor another
$400 for 640 x 480.

Not long after I upgraded to a 16mhz 286. 1986 I think. Not exactly sure though.

back in '96 I purchased a Quantex PC that cost $1899.99

The specs were:
Pentium 133mhz
32MB ram
2 MB STB Lightspeed 128 2D video card
2GB Seagate hard drive
15" Mag Innovision monitor
33k Modem

It played original quake quite well. Although I couldn't use the OpenGL patch with that video card.

My first pc was a good ol' Tandy 1000hx. It had a whopping 256 k (not mb, but k) of ram and no hd at all. It did have a cutting edge 3.5 inch floppy drive tho!

The next one was a Tandy also. it was a 1000rl. This time we doubled the ram and got a hugemongous 20 meg hd! Whooooow. it still had that 3.5 inch floppy and about 35 Deskmate disks too!

Then came my first Windowss-based pc, a Packard Bell 486sx 25mhz with 16 megs of ram(finally made it to megs!), and a super-sized 250 meg hd. I was rollin' them boy! I even had a sound card and some el cheapo speakers to go with it. I was in heaven because I could finally hear the soldiers in Wolfenstien 3d scream for mercy when I shot them down!

After that, I finally built my own pc, made of stuff from the Packard Bell and a new cpu(350mhz p2), mobo(Asus p2b-f), and ram. I still remember talking to the Russian girl named Lin who took my call from mpipc.com when I ordered the parts!

Anyway, now I build my stuff myself and have a decent setup with a p4 2.8ghz, 512mb ram, an AIW 9700pro vidcard, SBLive soundcard, and about 300gigs of hd space!
