Let's see those 386's!

Here's what I've done.

3.Pentium 100 ->120

5.AMD K6-3 400 ->450
6.Athlon classic 700 ->900w/GFD which I've since sold

As you can see, I sometimes bought two chips at once to see which overclocked better and sold the one that didn't get so high to a friend. Also, my best overclock in terms of percentage is my current CPU, the Pentium III 650 cB0 at 1032MHz.

The first time i overclocked something, I didn't even know what overclocking was! or FSB for that matter. I just saw a jumper setting in my mobo manual for 33mHz and tried it. OMG it worked!

486SX-25 -> 33

then I did the classic amd 5x86-133 -> 160

then the even more classic celery 300a -> 450

now the soon to be classic, duron! 650 -> 850 (still testing)

Only overclocked 1 computer. That was a P2-233 which I overclocked to 300 by an exhaustive search of the multiplier jumpers on the motherboard (only 233 and 266 were marked).

3 years later, this computer is still running at 300 MHz - it has never needed any additional cooling other than the fan-less CPU heatsink.

My first was a 486 66 to 75 but it did not quite hold. (perhaps it is due to the lack of any heatsink?). Then I got my p120 up to a p133. my dual p2-400s to 412 and then to 448, a p3-600e to 800 and then....... a 486 100 to 120 with no heatsink at all... WOOOOOO.
