Old Tandy's and Commodore PETS, but the old man bought a Commodore VIC 20 with the tape deck and we hooked it up to an old Lloyds13" B/W tv. Played the hell out of GORF, Lunar Lander etc. Plus copying tapes/game/programs on a old Technics dual tape deck stereo before floppies were main stream.

Here's a great site for old vintage computer info if you didn't know.

You just lack an appreciation for 4-bit music

I wouldn't even call that PC-Squealer 4-bit... single voice on or off... that's ONE-bit!

It didn't even support Tandy 3-voice music. Heck, the C64 version wasn't any better as far as I've found. The Amiga version came out later and destroyed the others! I can see why Amiga users were so snotty in those pre-VGA days!

Honestly, it was one of those "1000 games in 1" boxes. Had a pretty old computer as a child (raised by only 1 parent), yet I had so much enjoyment. Now, I've got a PS4, a decent computer, and it seems I'm taking things for granted though I really am thankful for what I have.

Also, we bought a PS2 when I was around 8, and I remember beating Tekken 4 so many times but not being able to save because we couldn't afford the memory cards. Oh, these were honestly the golden times.

I remember playing Where in The World Is Carmen San Diego on PC when I was younger. Then after that as far as real gaming goes, probably the original beta for Counter Strike, along with Half life. After that I think I got into the beta for Team Fortress.

Dungeons of Daggorath for my Tandy Color Computer II with 16k ram. The game was on a cartridge that plugged into the side of the computer, but your games were saved to a cassette drive............ yes, as in music cassette for you young 'uns. D of D was an awesome game.

For me, we had a few games on 5 inch floppies for our old IBM compatible (286 CGA or EGA I think)

1. Space Decathlon - Sort of 10 games in one; including: Rocket Sled (Navigate a maze), Lander (land on targetplatforms w/ various widths/points; the hardest one was in a cave), Asteroid Defense (incoming targets from 4 cardinal directs at increasing speed; shoot the targets), Some sort of navigation game (side scroll through a randomly generated obstacle course)

2. Virus (or Virus Rage?)- I don't remember much about this game. I didn't play it much because I didn't understand it. I seem to remember it being a board of cells and you try to prevent a virus from spreading. There was a cool syringe graphic though.

3. Pacman - Not sure which version this was, but it used the ASCII smiley face as Pacman, and there was a bug where if you got enough extra lives they'd break the wall of the maze allowing you to go off the board.

I would include screenshots, but apparently these games are lost to time.

EDIT: Found some Virus Rage pics, and Space Decathlon was by the same company (Fantasy Research, Inc.), but can't find any mention of it other than David Todd's Linked In profile (Currently CEO of Mass Media Games)
