Heh, same here. I got a 60 on my first chemistry test (one of the lowest grades in the class), the first test I took in college. I thought I remembered enough from high school to forego studying. Evidently not. I did manage an A overall, but I had to bust my ass to do it.Originally posted by: Jeff7
That I can remember, I think it'd be a 65%, in intro chemistry. Got a B in the class.
But then, they did fire that professor after just one semester. He had only just gotten his Ph. D. the spring semester before he started teaching in the fall. I guess he didn't know how to teach.
For what it's worth though, I didn't study one bit for that class. I had chemistry in 10th grade, and the residual knowledge was enough to suck out all motivation to study.
Brilliant. :laugh:Originally posted by: loki8481
0, because I overslept for the midterm.
I ended up getting an A in the class because I was able to convince the prof that I was there and that he must have lost my exam... he bought it and just factored my grade out with the missing exam out of the equation. since my average was otherwise an A (95+ on eveyr other test/paper), I ended up with an A.

You didn't take it up with the Dean? Maybe such excuses need to be approved by the dept. head or Dean anyway?
