I haven't yet visited 1976 since my time machine still does not work.
I turned 6 in 1976, and I remember that my parents bought me a train set for my birthday. It was the Tyco Bicentennial Edition train set:
It was still working in the 90s and I still have it, but it hasn't been powered on in probably 20 years.
Technically I think I consisted of some kind of edible food or something. Later in 1986 I was eaten then turned into a sperm and my job then was to find an egg
i had that loco! although i was only 2 then, i was given the train a few years later.
I was 6. I remember being at a block party and they had bottles of Bi-Centennial Coke. The parents of the neighborhood also gave out these new squirt guns that were the pre-cursors of Super Soakers. They looked like little Uzi's and and a good 20' range
Good times.
We toured the Freedom Train when it came through town. It was a bit of a wakeup call concerning the condition of American railways as the steam locomotive was too heavy for the rails in many locations.I turned 6 in 1976, and I remember that my parents bought me a train set for my birthday.
