Exactly! There is no magic formula for picking up women. Confidence helps, but mainly because if you will be more willing to ask women out, and once you do you are less likely to make a jack@ss out of yourself.
You see, if you are rich or DAMN good looking, you can "be a man" and get women you want to want you. Rich men, and handsome men are automatically deemed to act like jackasses by women and for them it's okay. Which sounds wierd but it's true.
Ever think that maybe women simply like good looking men? lot like a guy, they are willing to put up with more to be with someone who is really HAWT? Rich is pretty much the same, I don't know who originally said that money can't buy love, but I bet they never tried renting it!
However, not all men can be rich or look good. So how does the rest of us compete.
By David DeAngelo's theories the human race would have died out long ago, because "90% of men have no chance" of getting a women. He is a snake oil sales man, and there is really nothing worth learning from him.
Here is the best advice I can give you concerning dating: ASK HER OUT! if she says no, go the next.
Date a lot of women, and you will learn to be comfortable around them. You might learn some of the things in these books works, but you will not learn them from reading. You will learn them by growing as a person.
