I know exactly what you're talking about. Like the conversation I had:
Me "Would you like me to talk you through setting up your PC to connect to the network over the phone?"
Her "No- I don't have time, just send me the software."
Me "But it only takes about 45 seconds."
Her "I don't have time, send the software to me to do it!!"
Me "But the software takes at least 10 minutes...."
Her "JUST SEND THE SOFTWARE! I'M TOO BUSY!!"
What the???? In the time she spent arguing with me we could have been done! I think these people either like to think they're important (like the guy that carries a clip board around the factory all day), very unorganized, or have some kind of psychological quirk.
