I'm ok with most words, but I've always found men using the word wise and beautiful woman to describe someone to be super offensive. sorta like heterosexuals saying i love you.

I've really never understood why girls hate that word so much. It's kinda funny just to piss 'em off.

Edit: ""Sheeple"

You can't read two sentences in P&N without some tool using it. "

DAMNIT! IT'S SHEOPLE!

OMFG you totally STOLE mine!!! But seriously I can't stand all those fake words P&N types make up, especially since the more someone uses the word "sheeple" the more likely it is that they are even MORE blind followers. Just because you put all your trust in a bunch of conspiracy theory bloggers over the US government doesn't make you smart...

None offend me, but a past friend was rascist and had a fascination with Disney charactors. He was an idiot most of the time. Glad I moved!

How Tigger spelled his name, but with an N....... NI-double Ga-er.

It's commonly known that that word is the rudest word in the universe, which is why it's been completely banned in all parts of the galaxy (except a rather unfashionable spiral arm).

I happen to be on a little planet within that spiral arm. Do not destroy it to make a highway!!!

None. Period. Words are just that. Words.

I better reevaluate what I thought being human meant, if "words are just words".

People saying asinine BS like this what offends me.

The phrase I find most offending is "it's just a theory".

I'm arab, so sandnigger, beloved patriot, etc, used to be offensive. But after so many years of it (particularly after 9/11) it seems it's become watered down, socially. It doesn't really bother me as much anymore.

None specifically offend me.

I'm usually the one to say the offensive words

My wife on the other hand has a zero tolerance for the C word (rhymes with hunt) and the N word.

Regardless of who says it or the context.

Oh jesus I forgot about that. Yeah "tool" definitely describes the person using it.

"Paulbot" is another one. Not really offensive, just completely stupid. I guess P&N is a good source of idiocy.

I'd suggest that you take an interest in local affairs and visit the local planning office at Alpha Centauri.

none really. forums have desensitized me to an extent, or perhaps made me realize what exactly is offensive. so the words themselves don't offend me anymore but sometimes the usage, attitude or context might.

Bullshit.. words are everything, that's the #1 way humans communicate. Words are extremely important, and if you don't realize that then I am sorry..
I am an Immigrant and I can tell you firsthand how important words are. If you can't communicate with words, people will view you as sub-human.

Yes, but you choose whether or not to be offended by one word or phrase in particular which is fine if that is what you want but just know that it might not make you very popular. No one likes a tight ass who makes them feel like they are walking on eggshells when talking to them. No one here is arguing that words are not important either. Personally, I believe that the world would be a better place if people were less offended by such things. I get offended by behaviors and ideas. Not words.

I used to get pissed when people said gay, i love you, queer, etc. in a negative way. Being a bisexual man raised by lesbians, it was understandable. I've lightened up a lot about that stuff in recent years.

Racism still gets me if it's coming from someone I don't think is being facetious. Hearing people ranting about beaners stealing their jobs makes me angry, if only because I hate ignorant pricks. But if I know that the person saying it isn't racist, they're making a joke where the target is the perception of Americans as racist, well, that's cool.

I've gotten better with pretty much all of it in recent years. Words are words... the words don't bother me, the bigot saying them does.
