Talk to your doc asap, don't schedule an appt., waiting too long on your blood sugars is a bad, bad thing.

you must feel like fucking shit all day every day.

there's no way you can possibly need all those meds. a few of those suggest you have serious issues, but there's also a lot of bullshit there.
He has a number of serious medical conditions, don't judge so quickly. Search previous threads, he's discussed it before.

the double risperdol in itself should knock you the fuggg out. combined with the ssri (citalopram), Add tramadol and valium and you should be lying in bed slightly drooling with a smile. Are you currently in-patient at the mental hospital? When my sister was in-patient she wasn't on that much meds. Just saying.

Thanks for sharing, and like has been discussed, your doctor should know. The 300 sugars aren't good at all and are a serious concern worthy of a phone call.

Mmmmm, yeh.... funboy should take his list of meds to a *new* doctor for evaluation, and start to see what he can do without. Chances are he will feel better without a lot of the side effects he is probably feeling from this big drug cocktail he takes daily.

i just don't see how he could possibly need all that, as many of those drugs serve the same purpose. and some, imo, probably don't do a damn thing.

i agree that he should go to a different, well-recommended doctor and see what they say.

OP, who prescribed all this stuff? your primary (internist?), or lots of others, as well?

Mostly from my loony doc. The BP and type II stuff is from my regular doc.

Believe it or not my body is resistant to alot of drugs. Even my loony doc said I should be drooling, and on my ass all day but Im not. No real major side effects. I was taking 10mg of Valium but since I felt no relief he upped it to 20mg and I still feel no effects from that drug at all. I do feel better mentally and dont really feel like killing myself anymore, so some of them are really working, or making me feel the way I do about it may be mental.

I am 6'4" 417lbs (though I dont look 417lbs), and even when I went in to have a tumor removed they couldnt put me to sleep. One of the nurses commented she had never seen anyone get up on the table by themself have an operation then sit back up and get back into the bed and never go under. And this happen even when I had to have 6 teeth pulled (all 4 wisdom and 2 cracked) He couldnt put me under as well. Said he gave me all he could without killing me and was awake for the whole procedure and kept saying he was sorry, and please dont hurt me as he pulled my teeth from my jaw. I even drove home after having both done, I wasnt fazed by it at all.

I will post them here for all to see just incase they see something that may be causing this.

I am on:
20mg x3 times a day of diazepam (valum)SP
300mg x2 of neurontin
1000mg 2x day of metformin
5000IU 2x day of vitamin d
20 mg lisinopril
40mg citalopram
10mg of zolipidem
40mg of pravastatin
1mg of ropinirole
2mg 2x day of risperidone
50mg x2 day of metoprolol
2mg x2 day of benztropine
5mg 2x day of glyburide
150mg of tramadol 2x day
3mg 2x day of risperidone again for some reason
2 shots a month of testosterone

So there you go, all the goodies I take everyday.

Holy shit!! Are you a fucking hypochondriac?

You have to be pretty fucked up to need all those...60 mg of Valium and 300 mg of tramadol? That would put most people into a near zombie state.

I wish I were, Id love to stop taking all these drugs. They rule my life. I got to make sure where ever I go can I work it around the times Ihave to take them or do I bring it all with. It a worse ball and chain then my wife. No zombie state. Can get in my van and drive anywhere without trouble. It has my looney doc puzzled for he cannot believe Im on the stuff he gives me and Im still having panic attacks sometimes and I just cant keep still. My legs are always bouncing up and down, which is one of the reasons he upped my Valium to try and get me to relax but I feel nothing from it and for the life of me I cant keep still. But on the bright side Im getting some form of exercise.

Ever think you are taking some of those meds to counter the side effects of the other meds?

The citalopram and tramadol have interactions and can cause some serious side effects such as an increase risk of seizures and serotonin syndrome. The risperidone and ropinirole are working against each other. And the rest of the medications can increase the severity of the side effects.

Unfortunately, some people have to stay on a regimen like this in order to "feel" better. I'm not condoning this type of regimen but if he is seeing a health professional specializing in behavioral health and not some regular clinician, then I would feel that it is acceptable that he is on these medications.

I've even seen kids who've not even reached puberty on similar regimens. Sometimes it's docs out of control with prescribing and sometimes it's a necessity. It's really hard to tell.

You know when I don't want to make an office visit I call my doctor on the phone. She usually gets back to me in a couple hours.

I'll be blunt, in hopes of getting you to listen, you may die if you don't call your internist ASAP. Diabetics with uncontrolled [high] glucose numbers are more likely to suffer heart attacks.

You aren't taking metoprolol for the fun of it.

Pick up the phone & call your doc, tell him/her about your high finger stick numbers and that the insulin, metformin & glyburide aren't keeping those numbers under control. Do this today.

all this talk about meds aside, has the OP called the doc yet?

seriously, dude. pick up the phone and talk to the nurse, as the least- but she's just going to tell you to come in and see the doctor.

I been at these numbers for years, sometimes in the mid 300, so Im not to worried about calling the doctor Just yet. I was just figuring out if anyone else on insulin come into this same problem and what their outcome turned out to be.

I see my doc on the 29thy so I am going to try and do my best or double up on the glyburide and see if I cant get the numbers down before I go in to see her.

Sounds like a bad idea.

I been shooting myself up now for about a week and it has yet to make any significance difference in my blood sugar levels.

I have cut out all the pop, bread, noodles, any thing really that would turn to sugar and yet aim still hovering close to 300. --- potatoes??

I mix it up good before each shot, and shoot it into my stomach like I was told and shown how, but again no effect.

Anyone have a clue as to why? Im taking 15 units btw.

being diabetic myself but not using insulin injections.....

1) old and out dated insulin....
2)You might not be injecting the insulin properly --
http://diabetes.about.com/od/equipmentandbreakthroughs/ht/injectinsulin.htm
3)Are you excersizing regularly??
4)Perhaps your meter is messed up somehow??

Good Luck!

Some steaks? Perhaps that's part of the reason why you weigh 417...

2 small steaks for lunch without eating breakfast yet is going to do this

Its actually because Im disabled and cant get around for shit or exercise that has made me balloon to 417

They have me scheduled for an emergency gastric bypass so I will be getting that done soon, and then I may not have to shoot up or take pills anymore at all.
