I decided to walk home today from work. It's about 5 miles. It took me about 2 hours. When I got home, I realized my entire back pack was wide open, and my spare shirt had fallen out along the way. I guess the zipper broke or something but I didn't notice.
Anyway, I have all the essentials: laptop, power cord, charger, etc. But I know I had other stuff in the bag too, like my recent mail, some letters, etc. I highly doubt it's anything important, but I did lose my spare shirt, so I'm afraid other things may have fallen out too.
I've thought about retracing my steps, but the chances of me finding anything in the dark streets of Boston are slim, and I don't even know what I'd be looking for - it's not like I'm missing any "specific" item other than the shirt.
So what would you do? Chalk it up and just assume if you lost something, it wasn't important? Or retrace your steps?
