Look at Barrack, on the outside he's a pretty intelligent guy. But a shitty world leader with no spine. Sometimes you need a dumb ass to take risks that more thoughtful people never would. IQ is a meaningless measure of how someone will perform as president... random interviews with their voters even less so.

The fact of the matter is that much of what Tina Fey said is attributed to Palin. Fey portrayed Palin as ignorant and that carried over to Palins political image.

As my video points out, people attribute what Fey said to Palin. So yes, it has everything to do with this discussion.

All in all, I too think that Sarah Palin is above average in intelligence. But Sarah Palin has wasted that God given gift by squandering it in so many ways.

And instead she glories in her ability as a demagogic figure and a political bully, something that takes some intellect to achieve, but sadly, guarantees nothing but making her into a divider and not anyone who can unite a country.

What Sarah Palin lacks is the intellectual honesty of hard work to go on from mere demagogic talent, and progress beyond that to addressing the real issues of American politics. She has the brains and ability to be a contender, but is too damn lazy and intellectually dishonest to fulfill her potential.

While high intelligence is nowhere near sufficient to be an effective POTUS, low intelligence is definitely a liability. If you can't understand complex issues, that means other people are making your decisions for you. That is basically what happened for 8 years with the last POTUS. I suppose it's OK if you choose the right people, but then your intelligence may impact your judgment about which people to choose...
