Like I'm going to take the word of some moron that spells God G-d

Um, yeah . . . besides the fact that this is a pretty widespread practice in Jewish religious philosophy, you don't have to take someone else's word to know where YOU got an idea.

On second thought, let me rephrase that. The vast majority of people don't have to take someone else's word to know where he or she got a particular idea. But I suppose you know your own limitations.

No it isn't, whoever told you that is lying to you, Jews use Alohim or varians of it without misspelling it.

Do you think god gives a shit about how you write god on a forum? What kind of patheitic little twat do you consider him to be?

I'd guess 95-110. It's pretty hard to pin down because her quality of education was apparently quite poor.

Dinosaurs and humans walked the Earth at the same time? Beyond poor.

Just imagine the hilariaty that would ensue if we had a "Guess Obama's IQ" thread...

assuming one hasn't been previously created...

It is suspected the Jimmy Carter has one of the (if not the) highest IQ of any president in the last 100 years....

How did that work out for the country?

Not as bad as he has been made out to be. In retrospect, he was simply before his time or should I say, he saw what was coming down the road a long time before the Man on the Street saw it.

Perhaps POTUS wasn't really where he should have been. Maybe he should have been someone in the background who influenced/steered long term policy towards avoiding many of the issues we have now. Either way, the bad Rap laid on him is undeserving given what we know now.

Why because he was a nuclear engineer? Not even close... Bill Clinton had 180s like Reggie Jackson, a frekken baseball player, super genius.

I'd peg Carter about 130-140.

Obama 150+

Reagan 130's

Bush 135

Bush 2.0 115

IMO

Obama isn't that bright, though he is well spoken, maybe 130. Reagan I would place down in the 120's, with a load of common sense, a very real understanding of human nature, and balls of steel. I have no idea about Carter, he may have been very sharp, but he didn't have a backbone. The man was never cut out to be the POTUS.

Anyone who actually thinks that Jesus horses belongs in reality isn't just a victim of indoctrination and poor education, they have to be stupid too.

They just HAVE to be stupid.

Yeah, i don't know either.

I would imagine that technology-related forum would have above-average IQ readership.

During grad school I did work with a kid that got a 1600/1600 SAT and he's tested around 180 in the IQ dept. He wasn't the smoothest operator, but far from the socially-incompatible outcast stereotype. Extremely intelligent guy, just not very cognisant of the goals of the department.

The simple fact that you are talking about a kid who got a perfect score, tells me you didn't.

The fact that you didn't get a perfect score (1600) or very close (1580-1590) tells me that you are not 4 standard deviations above the mean.

The fact that the test (used to be scored) 800/800 for a total of 1600, and is now scored 800/800/800 for a total of 2400, confirms my hypothesis.

Hell, with my paltry (but pretty accurate) 130-132 IQ, I got a 1540 (800/740) on the SAT. For someone who would be bored talking to me, you sure got a low score.

a religious zealot cannot be above average.

This. Their own logic would have ripped the brainwashing from their skulls.

If they were truly that smart, and that was not allowed to happen, their mental health would likely be affected.

For being so "smart", the implication that the OP is trying to pass off is in most cases completely off base. History has shown that intellgence has virtually nothing to do with effective leadership. Some of our worst leaders have been our most intelligent......

I think you fail to realize that most of these people teaching at the university level are nothing more than real world drop outs, or those that would have never made it in the real world. It proves nothing of real intelligence, just book smarts, and well, it is not all that impressive.

If you ran a McDonald's you would have more management experience than Obama did when he was elected to manage the most powerful nation the world has ever seen. Not a big surprise that when his tenure is up, that status will most likely no longer be the case.

Your inane generalizations aside, most people teaching at the University level didn't distinguish themselves at Columbia or become the Editor of the Harvard Law Review. Kind of a big deal actually. Certainly on different ground than someone who bounced around 4 different schools over five years, and finally graduated without honors (her sub 3.5GPA hasn't been released). Obama's pragmatic and mature manner of processing ideas and communicating them bears a stark contrast to both Palin and his predecessor, and I'm not surprised at all that a partisan such as yourself would try to invalidate that difference. Can you honestly see Palin teaching ANYTHING at a college level? Sorry, Home Ec doesn't count.

As a person who came to loathe the typical beltway bastards we've had in power these last few decades, I was and still am all for some new blood in the White House. Pulling leadership from a different source was a needed step. That he didn't lead a nepotistic life and run a few businesses into the ground before getting elected doesn't bother me as much as it seems to bother you guys.
What's funny is that you couldn't bring these same standards to bear on Palin. Ahhh, that double-standard wagon, it just keeps on a rollin...

Bush2.0 got ~1200 on sat, which puts him in the 130s IIRC.

Obama graduated with honors from HLS, which puts him in the top of the pack, high 140s in my opinion.

I certainly didn't get a perfect score, as I would imagine your IQ has to be in the 180s to be able to pull that of consistently.

It's been shown that SAT scores aren't really a good predictor of IQ (http://www.iapsych.com/articles/beaujean2006.pdf), so you need to realize that your argument essentially hangs on the fact that you yourself got near 1600 on SAT and score in the 130s for IQ.

You can't extrapolate from that one data point... it could be you got lucky on SAT or unlucky on the IQ test.

Here's a correlation table:
http://www.iqcomparisonsite.com/SATIQ.aspx

My mediocre GRE score puts me in the 140s for IQ, assuming that GRE is a predictor of IQ.

Standardized intelligence tests are absolutely terrible at predicting actual success in life. I've known several people who scored 1400+s (back when it was a 1600 point test) who didn't even manage to finish college.

They also tend to be culturally biased.

About 12 years ago, there was an episode of "The Simpsons" in which Bart was supposed to deliver an oral report on Libya. Bart, of course, hadn't done his homework and had no idea what to say. He stood up, cleared his throat, looked at the blank page in front of him, and winged it.

"The exports in Libya are numerous in amount," Bart said earnestly. "One thing they export is corn, or as the Indians call it, maize. Another famous Indian was Crazy Horse. In conclusion, Libya is a land of contrast. Thank you."

Fast forward Jan 13 2010. Glenn Beck who has been favorable to the right. Isn't annoying, perky, not prone to ask gotcha questions says the following...

Glenn: Who is your favorite founding father?
Sarah: All of them

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA_yVbrMEPo&feature=player_embedded#

I give Beck credit he said "bullcrap" and pressed for a specific answer. Like Bart she couldn't just take a pass so at that point you see Palin looking down starting to sweat giving an errily similar answer to the Katie Couric interview, "You know, well, all of them, because they came collectively together with so much ... so much diverse and so much diversity in terms of belief, but collectively they came together." BTW - what diversity the FF were all white male land owners. Not bashing them just saying not diverse.

She then remembers George Washington and begins regurgitating what sounds like cliff notes.

Anyone still thinks she's qualified for Prez in 2012?

I can usually tell when people are dumb. RR was not dumb despite lefts portrayal fearing his power and popularity they tried to use this low IQ canard but in Sara's case I think it's no joke. If you can believe it, or not, I don't care, I have something in the 160s and can always tell someone equal or better I simply dismiss them as smart but someone less it's easy...

110

I dont know what the actual # would be, but I would put her right in between a redneck that only graduated the 8th grade and a tree stump.
