I wouldn't expect anything less from a full blown douchebag like yourself.

Keep feeding the troll, people.

Oh wait, that's me

Keep it coming...quality stuff.
Aren't you the guy who said you were glad the insurgents were picking off our troops? hmmm

Yes, and I also said Osama is my hero, and that GWB eats babies, and while you're at it, any other thing you can think of...I've said it
A simple yes/no would have sufficed. Someone has you in their sig quoting your condoning of insurgents killing our troops, just an FYI. You should do something about that.

Yes, I'm aware of members selectively quoting what I have posted, and I encourage it. Whatever brings joy to their pathetic sigs

I would return it as karma is a b!tch.

I'm not rich but 'affectively' robbing a person of their 'life savings' is fvcking bad. If they had details of her address and such in it that would be easy to give back. If it had NO DETAILS then you can't do much but hand it back to the police about it.

BUT one thing is a b!tch though. An uncle once returned a wallet to the cops and when someone picked it up. That guy CLAIMED he had MORE MONEY in the dam wallet! wtf?! Uncle returns the wallet back with what was in it and he gets hassle from this guy. IF he wanted to steal the dam stuff would he bother returning it to a police station?! HELL NO.

Heh. I would have taken my 10-20% finders fee and then anonymously left it at the local police station.

If you're dumb enough to carry around that kind of cash when it's your entire savings, then you don't deserve to have it.

Some ppl here say that they will 100% return it for sure without a doubt, I think that's just BS :disgust: Greed is part of a human nature.

I'd like to think that I'll return it for sure, but it'll be a different case once I have the actual cash on hand. Hopefully I will still probably return it but that's after thinking it over for at least 1 night with no sleep, etc. And it'll probably be a close call, my good conscience winning over my greed by a very very small margin.

I will probably not tell anyone about the whole thing because there will always be some stupid people calling me stupid, crazy, etc. But the whole experience will hopefully make me a better person out of it.

I don't think I could live with myself if I kept it.

I'd return it.

Edit-A bunch of years ago I was walking through a parking lot on my way to class and I noticed a wallet sitting on the roof of someone's car. I picked it up and took it to campus police and left a note on the woman's car telling her where she could find her wallet. I never looked in it.

I bet 98% of the peeps that answered this thread are full of sh!t...How would you know that was someone's life savings? If you saw a wad of cash like that would you really give a sh!t whewre it came from? I would donate it to my favorite charity...myself

I would have fantasized about what I could do with 43k, and then I would have returned it. Although I once found $150 in cash sitting in neat stack in the middle of the sidewalk in the city. I was in a bad neighborhood, but no one was around for blocks in any direction. I picked it up and looked around, but I couldn't see anyone at all. It then occurred to me that it was a little windy that day, so I looked around a little more and found another pair of $50's in the gutter. I pocketed the cash and then jumped onto a random passing bus to get out of there.

All of you people saying you would return it would probally have a hard time doing it if this situation actualy happened to you. Most of you are saying that you would want it retured to you if you lost it. That is the stupidest thing i have ever heard. Anyone who carys around 43k in cash and then loses it deserves to be 43k poorer. I never carry around more cash than i need to just incase i misplace my wallet, and ive had the same wallet for about 12 years now. What doesnt get put in the bank gets put in my secret spot, and i hardly ever carry around over $50 in cash unless im plannin on buying something with cash.

Also if i found 43k in cash i would be like 99% sure it would be drug money and not some old ladys life savings. In which case the 43k is better off in my pocket then in the pocket of some bastard drug dealer.

this is a good way to rationalize your robbing of someone else's money...
anyhow, i would definitely, without a doubt, return the money no matter what the circumstances are. even if there is a big note that says "this is drug money" attached to the envelope i would still return it. all i would need to know is that the money is not mine to begin with so there is no way i am going to keep it. i am a strong believer in karma. i am not returning the money for the sake of the person who lost it, but rather i am returning it in fear of what may happen to me if i were to keep it.

No offense, but anyone who carries around $43,000 in CASH is either really stupid or doing something illegal. Either way, I'm not going to feel all that guilty keeping her "life savings"... Which was probably drug money.

I have lost my wallet twice in the last year and both times, to my total disbelief, it was returned to me with nothing missing.

There is not a chance in hell I could ever steal someones life savings if I found their wallet or purse. First I do have a set of morals, and second... well what comes around goes around. Two people were kind enough to return my belongings so I want to do the same for someone else.

No way I'd screw someone over that bad. I'd return it all. Mainly because I know how much it'd hurt to loose everything I worked for.

Drug deal gone bad. Did you mind stepping over the bodies and blood stained sidewalk to get to the cash?

If true that was an interesting story.
