What would you guys want to be standard in PC's? Like if we got to invent our own PC-2002 standard, and in a perfect world actually get manufactorers to abide by it (or convince consumers to buy into it).
We'd want computers following the standard to be very upgradeable, powerful enough to competatively last more than several months, and to move on from crappy legacy devices.

Some changes I'd make would be:
- No more floppy drives, instead we'd use some sort of LS-120 drive (but it's quicker, like a Zip 250 at least
- No built-in video, to keep the system upgradeable
- At least 4 IDE controllers, 8 IDE ports
- Firewire connectors on the mobo
- Elimination of one (or maybe both) serial ports, maybe the parallel too if all new printers finally become USB compatable
