What XP chip Goes highest?

Question:
I am building a new system for christmas and am wondering what XP overclocks the best and with what HSF? In general how high do they go without a special HSF? what are good HSF's? Would I do better to buy a lower clocked XP and overclock? any Responses welcom

i think the PAL 8045 is one of the better heatsinks out there and isnt too expensive... just make sure it will fit on your motherboard

I have a 1600+ and uses an Alpha PAL8045 with a 80mm Papst Ultra HighOutput fan (36db/46,5cfm) and mine runs 1,6Ghz 100% stable, a true 1600! Haven't tried fine tuning it, wouldn't run with 160 or 164Mhz fsb, but 153x10.5 is okay, but might run with a few mhz more and might even be able to drop the vcore from 1,85v (upped it to the max just to be sure it's stable).
Based on what I've heard this is not that uncommon, you just need a good (but more costly) hsf but remember that the hsf can be reused in a future system.

The PAL8045 rocks! As I said it runs my 1600+ @1600 runs 100% stable and never goes above 40C with a case temp of 32. When I got the Alpha instead if my Molex Radial Fin my cpu temp went 10C down (when oc'ed to 1600, lower speed = lower temp fall), the case temps even went down 6C as it leads the heat away much faster to be sucked out by the back case fan.
