the cons for me during my vista trial:
> multiple files selected disables the security tab (which you can view in file properties via alt+enter)
> UAC was probably slowly driving me insane - so I disabled it. No UAC, not much of a problem for me.
> super annoying problems with vista's explorer.exe not remembering individual folder view settings (eg: if you need to have one dir sorted by name and another by 'date modified')
- man i hate this big time, but perhaps i can deal with an alternative filesystem browser like xplorer2 or something
> cant rely completely on the folder popup size variable
even when it says 0 bytes.
if you need to be sure of the dir size then alt+enter it.
and the pros

this impressed me, and is nice indeed.

native ability to forward
events, and the systems use of XML technology. An open technology and the
ability to monitor your logs from a central location is something that the
previous system lacked.

need to personally confirm this.
> Clean service shutdown: Services in Windows Vista have the capability of delaying the system shutdown in order to properly flush data and finish current operations. If the service stops responding, the system terminates it after 3 minutes. Crashes and restart problems are drastically reduced since the Service Control Manager is not terminated by a forced shutdown anymore.
