What'd everyone get for christmas?

A headset for the PC for WoW, a carpet steam cleaner for the house from the parents, a gun store gift certificate because I go through ammo like toilet paper, and little trinkets here and there, like a SVT Cobra snake emblem key chain to go with my '03, etc.

We pretty much buy what we want for ourselves all year round whenever we want. The people who get us gifts do it more for the challenge of finding some useful thing they can afford that we need or don't already have

Got the parents a 19" LCD to fit in the desk cubby hole previously occupied by a 19" CRT. It was a good CRT, Sony G400 FD, and the color was definately better, but it was having problems and its due to fail any day now.

Got the lady a Cactuar plush to go with the Mog plush I got for her birthday this year. Didn't learn my lesson from last time... I'll definately wear ear plugs when I give her the Chocobo plush.

My wife got home after work on xmas eve to discover the dining room ceiling was done (tongue and groove), and I had the antique lamp that she fell in love with installed over the dining room table (an old brass oil lamp that was converted to electric) An hour or so later, she realized that I *finally* made two new legs for the piano; one was broken years ago while the piano was being moved.

The next day, I was surprised to receive a walleye that I had sent to a taxidermist many years ago. I'd pretty much given up hope that I'd ever see the thing again. I don't know how she convinced him to finish it.

instead my present was watching my 2 and a half year old open her christmas presents for the first with the knowledge of what she was actually doing and getting.
