I went on a senior class trip to Myrtle Beach in HS. But I didn't have friends dumb enough to go walking off with strangers and we stuck together instead of letting a pal of ours (that we knew for years) just go off on their own.

I blame her friends almost as much as I blame her dumbass...especially considering they were in a foreign country operating under foreign laws and foreign courts. One of the advantages of going to a foreign country with a group of friends/classmates (in Natalie's case, nearly 200), is that you have plenty of people watching your back or looking out for you...but I guess that whole system broke down here.

I'm not saying that she should have gotten raped/murdered, but she didn't help her case by going off with three unknown locals.

did she deserve it? heck no. a lot of schools don't have field trips. in Richmond Virginia, non in middle school or high school.
