I remember reading about this a year or two ago, basically once the DVD's were exposed to oxygen after being opened, they degraded in forty-eight hours or so to the point that they could no longer be read by DVD players. The read-surface would change color.
There was talk about vending machines selling these for a few dollars apiece, and I was wondering if they would even be able to carry them in stores, since some person with a needle or knife could destroy a whole display of these in a matter of minutes by punching holes in the envelopes.
