What's a better value-Toshiba 24x or 32x?

Heh, I'd rather get 24x's than a 32x. But that's just me.

take the 32x, definitely. i have a 24x toshiba, the 32x is worth the ~6 dollar price difference

Get the 24x if you are mostly interested in a relatively quiet drive to be used only for data CD's.

Get the 32x if you want more speed, and intend to use it for digital audio extraction (the 24x only rips audio at 1x and at very poor quality).

I don't think there is a huge difference in 24x and a 32x in a IDE CDROM drive. my uncle owns a 24x toshiba and he has never had problems with it. so we will see how it turns out. I got a 24x, one for me and one for my uncle.
