I'm getting a GeForce2 so I can play some games and I want to get a gamepad too. Anyone have any suggestions on a good gamepad?

the original microsoft sidewinder is good, i like mine too, its an interact makopad but some of the buttons are shared, which sucks since it cuts down on available buttons =\

I have the MS Sidewinder pro and MS Sidewinder freestyle ... like it both...

most people like Gravis game pad pro... but I still prefer the MS feel ...

Logitech game pad is kinda good too.

The Gravis GamePad Pro USB is decent.

It's modeled after the original Playstation controller.

I use it a lot in my console system emulation software.

You can grab it for $19.95 US.

Look into the Gravis Xterminator pad. I had it for a little while, and it was the most comprehensive gamepad I've ever seen. I sold it only because I had little need for it. It came with a software package that let you customize everything and remap keys to buttons and stuff. The controller felt good in my hands too, it's definitely worth a look.

I think they have an USB version now. They ususally have these on displays at Compusa or BestBuy.

The logitech gamepad extreme is the most comfortable gamepad in the world. Plus it has a sensor although i dont really use it. You can get it for like $35. good deal

I like the MS Gamepad. It's cheap, feels good in the hand, and definately gets the job done. Unless you need a lot more buttons than the 8 or so that it offers, I recommend this. Also, Gamepads can be chained if you ever bring friends over to play. Good luck!

Personally, I would highly recommend the Logitech WingMan Gamepad Extreme. Logitech has really great products and this is no exception.

To see infomation about it on logitech's site, go here:
http://www.logitech.com/cf/products/productoverview.cfm/24

It also got PC Gamers Editors' Choice award. They said it was the best controller they had ever used.

I have also used it and like it.

'nutha vote for the Xterminator if you prefer one controller that can do it all. I checked out the Sidewinder when it came out and it was like a smaller copy of the Xterminator -not as comfortable to me. So I would highly recommend going to a store that has 'em on display so you can hold it in your sweaty l'il mitts. No final Win2000 drivers yet, but they're working on 'em.

I love the original Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad. Great feel, lots of buttons. And you can daisy chain them, which is completley awesome. I have 2 of them and the daisy chaining works great. Their cheap too!

I would also recommend the Exterminator. It's highly configurable and the only pad I've seen that has survived one of my more notorious friends (he regularly hurls his gamepads into his monitor when frustrated :Q). My only gripe and it may be personal is that the digital pad directions take some getting used to.

The latest beta ones work fine in the games I use the Xterminator for (NFS5 and motocross madness 2)

The 3dfx Hammerhead is a very good controller. i think that they also have a USB version of it. It has a built in rumble pack and analog joysticks also. Its only about 30 bucks bought at Wal Mart.

if you are into racing, the tilting gamepads are nice, but your arms may get tired...
