Whats a good PCI TV Tuner?

lookin at getting a TV tuner for my comp. needs to be PCI. what ones are good??

I have a Hauppauge TV card with FM and it's pretty good. However Asus has a card out that has a new (I'm not sure how new) card with a new chip in it that's 10-bit instead of the 8-bit found in other cards.

i looked at that one and teh Asus one. i didnt realize these wer so expensive. anyway anyone have any other suggestions??? i really just want it so i dont have to bring my TV to school next year. id also liek to be able to play my PS2 off of my monitor. my roomie has a ATI AIW and he does this. so id liek teh card to do that also

HD? High Def? i dont need a 200% one i just need something to watch basic cable on and that i can play vid games on cause i dont want to bring a TV with me cause of space.

I had 2 Hauppauge cards and currently have the Leadtek WinFast TV XP deluxe (or whatever it's called). While the picture quality looks much better on the Leadtek, the driver/programs of the Hauppauge were much more stable. You'll hear a lot of good things about the ASUS card as well.

I've got an ATi TV Wonder (not the cheaper version, the full out one) and it's pretty good.

I think it's got the same TV input chip as the AIW does, so if you like the AIW the TV Wonder should work out alright for you.

Gotta be careful with TV Tuners, there are some stupendously crappy ones. I recommend when you buy it get it from somewhere with a no-questions 14-day (or 30 day or whatever) return policy.

My TV Wonder has served me well though I haven't used it in a while, but with TV Tuners I highly recommend a try before you buy scheme.

Leadtek Winfast 2000 XP from Newegg....

Leadtek has pretty sh!tty driver support in the long run. As soon as a new OS comes out. they probably won't release drivers. I bought a TV Tuner in the beginning of the Win2K days and they never released XP drivers. I wouldn't buy Leadtek anymore.
