What's a good, reliable, CHEAP retailer for Vista Ultimate 64 RETAIL VERSION

So, where did you buy the cheapest (or the most economical outlet to remain politically correct RETAIL VERSION of Vista 64 Ultimate or any Vista 64 RETAIL?

I'd say newegg.

The prices are pretty much standard no matter where you look. If you're finding it at a steep discount, I'd be very wary.

Any reason you can't go with an OEM version?

if you look in the for sale forums here on anandtech you can find retail vista ultimate for around $150 if are patient. that is how i bought mine

I got a OEM copy for $95 (sealed in box) on ebay. The guy was selling 12 copies but I think he had to pull them because he had no hardware for sale at same time and ebay doesnt allow that. He probably has more copies .Thank god I didn't pay more for this POS.

OK... How does this ANAND TECH market place work? On trust? PayPal first them you get the stuff in the mail? What if you get stiffed. Did anyone get stiffed buying here?

the post i linked to has person selling it with 30 positive heatware evaluations. heatware is service used on various forums that have for sale forums to rate each seller so that others can see if that person is reliable. look at my signature and you will see my heatware link. this person in particular has 30 references listed with 0 negative and expanding some of the evaluations reveals what each person said about dealing with him. there is a chance you could get ripped off as i have 3 times to date but i feel the risk is worth it to get the good deals that are offered. there are recourses that can be taken when you get ripped off. of the 3 times i got ripped off i got them all resolved satisfactory.

I'm going to have to check that frequently. I don't see any events in Arizona listed for now, but I'd love to upgrade my copy of Vista Business 64 to Ultimate 64 for the 'right' price.

Is this true? Where does it say that? I'd go, but if I sat through some boring-ass lecture without gettin' some loot at the end I will feel mighty foolish...
