im going to make blueberry pancakes for my daughter. she loves those things. and well, so do i!

I had chocolate cake. Seriously. I needed some carbs and that's all I had.

Over the long weekend, I've just had way too much meat. I made spareribs on Thursday night, which I finished off for lunch. Cooked out twice yesterday. Had grilled sausages and more bbq the night before.

What I really need are some vegetables. I might go to Safeway, get whatever looks fresh, and saute it all up.

Strawberry smoothie (homemade), poppy seed pound cake with cardamon glaze (homemade), nuts (treemade) .

We had a big lunch so don't need much dinner.

My mom went to this new place called Meals to Go and got some nifty pork loins. I hate it when she experiments with food but I only see her once a week and she only cooks for me once a week so I was obliged to go.
Actually, it was pretty tasty. But it cost much more than the grocery store and she had to drive two towns over to get it, and it didnt taste any better than her cooking. She could have saved herself a long trip and a little money by doing it her way.

substituting red peppers for chili peppers is fine, right?

Ps. Damn, people cook 1 meal and eat it over a week? That's disgusting. I only use fresh ingredient and make enough for 1 meal. I don't do leftover.

not often, but I'm going out of town on thursday and don't really feel like doing any more shopping until I get back.

going to divide the chili into like 6 servings, freeze whatever I don't eat tonight/tomorrow, and thaw as needed.

chili's one of those things that freezes well and can be eaten in a wide enough variety of ways that I can eat it for 3-4 days without really minding.
