sushi buffet (not a chinese buffet that serves sushi). Love that it's no reservations necessary for V-day. Been that way for years and the food is good.

Ok, who's gonna take one for the team and review the Burger King hot dog?

A good hot dog is worth it's weight in pig snouts and buttholes. But the only thing that really qualifies as a good hot dog is one with a casing that "snaps", usually steamed or boiled.

Two 5 oz lobster tails, and a 10oz ribeye. Grocery store had a special - two tails & 2 ribeyes for $26. So, I got 2 packages. Cooked 3 ribeyes and all four tails, since the tails were thawed. I'll have the other ribeye for lunch tomorrow.

House special Thia soup and a tuna salad sandwich on an onion roll.
Tomorrow is kung pao chicken, and day after that is Maryland crab soup.

Turned the other ribeyes into steak tacos. Cooked the meat in the sous vide so that it stayed nice and tender. Unfortunately, I made the seasoning too strong/used too much seasoning.

I tend to get carried away seasoning some things these days, need to work on my balancing a bit more myself.

I used to under season things a lot of the time.

It's a good thing the wife likes spicey food also, has been a few things she has made lately with some peppers we have around that she is even toning down the use of a bit.

Tried a recipe tonight for pork and ricotta meatball soup. The recipe looked good but was underwhelming. The meatball itself had great texture and was very moist. It needed more herbs and spices though; the flavor was bland. Could be decent with the right adjustments.

I'm making my sketti again tomorrow night.

Adding a bit more sweet italian sausage this go around... it'll probably be around 1/3 to 2/5 lbs of that sweet tastiness
1lb beef
it's got some tomato sauce, tomato paste, and either crushed or diced tomatoes
I use fresh ground Italian seasoning, some garlic (fresh cloves and powder), oregano, basil, marjoram, and thyme, half a decent size sweet onion, a lot of love, all day in the slow cooker, and a little Cabernet Sauvignon thrown in there.

Oh man I'm already hungry. But I definitely hate prepping dinner when I should be eating breakfast. :|

Have been trying to think of something to make for the Oscars later tonight, the wife bought a couple packs of new sausages we haven't tried out that look good.

Might do some pasta with one of those, and a few other things.

Their Chorizo looks good, have to try that in the future.

Not like we don't have enough. Only 4 hours from Tampa.

Yeah, my wife's uncle lived on a nice golf course in West Palm Beach. He passed away a few years ago, we don't get over to your side often these days.

I tried the Burger King dogs the other day:

I tried the BK hotdogs today. They taste exactly like store-bought hotdogs in store-bought buns with store-bought condiments. Absolutely nothing special about them. $1.99 for the condiment dog and $2.39 for the chili-cheese dog. For $4.38, I could have gotten an 8-pack of dogs from the store. Meh. If you need cheap convenience food on the road, get a cooler with ice packs & a RoadPro 12V heated lunchbox.

I kind of wish they had made like a Whopper dog...not quite a bratwurst, but a thicker dog that had that flame-broiled taste that a Whopper does, maybe like a ground beef dog:
