Tempura and Chipotle are in a head-to-head competition for my dining dollars and I can't decide.

Went to Pizza hut buffet after... idk, 10 years maybe... it sucked more than I can remember...

What is Tempura? never heard of them, Google failed too. Chipotle's burrito bowl with extra meat is awesome!

I had some cafeteria pork cutlet and noodles. Wasn't awful, but nothing to write home about. Worth the $6.50 I paid for it, a salad, and a fountain drink.

Reminds me of the mongolian bbq I had last night...not the greatest but enough to feed me + the wifey at the princely sum of $6.99 (tax included)

Nope. Our company subsidizes our cafeteria by forcing catering to be order through it (which isn't awful, as it is sandwiches and you can't fuck that up). And, I think they run as close to at cost as possible. When a company makes money on other things, we don't have to worry about not making money feeding the employees.

I've done the math on this several times and bringing lunch does not save THAT much money unless you have very low culinary needs.

I don't know. $1,700 a year savings is actually not that bad. For me the savings is far greater. It's way more than thousand dollars a month and tens of thousand a year.

eh, I spend that $1700 on food you spend it on whatever makes you happy - eating is like, my #2 favorite thing to do. If you would save "far greater" than $1700/year by bringing lunch from home, I would question your "eat out @ lunch" options.
