Whats hot right now?

I Havent been keeping up with the hottest /best / most overclockable combos for the past few months. So thats where you guys come in ... Advise me please. Best mobo/cpu combo for the buck. I know this is opening up a can of worms in the Intel vs. Amd battle but I gotta know... I have been using Intel stuff for a while now and have been leaning toward amd for some time.. But now it seems maybe the tide is turning again toward Intel. Yes Money does matter ... tHe cheaper the better.

Right now I'm running a P-3 700 @933 on an asus p3v4x... so It may be getting time for an upgrade. Thanks

P4 1.6a and 1.8a for overclocking, you can find a mobo you like through reviews.

No it won't, You are not asking what is the best or what is the fastest you are asking what is the most overclockable and best bang for the buck, I have both Intel and AMD but it would have to be the Asus P4S533 with the 1.6a, It will over clock to 2.133 with everything set to default and stock heatsink with temps in the high 30C to low 40's, And for about $230 it is hard to beat, I have one as my back up and won't go into what I use as my number 1 computer

he'll tell you to go with a 1.6a p4 and an asus p4b266-c ; he says the problem with the p4s533 or 333 is that it's not stable past 140 fsb's or something around there....

I still think that AMD procs, despite having lower clock speeds, still offer the most performance for the dollar.
