My office is in 2 separate buildings. Currently we have one computer (desktop) on a dial up and the other (partner's laptop) on a wifi connection. Luckily for us, the building came set up.
But we're thinking we may pick up a wireless card for the Desktop as well.
His Dell has a ********** and it works great on the setup which I believe is super-g, but as I'm looking at these, I don't have a clue what all ths stuff means.
Antenna: External detachable dipole antenna
Data Rates: up to 54Mbps
Frequency Band: 2.4GHz- 2.4835GHz
Humidity: 0% - 95%, Non-Condensing
Modulation: OFDM with BPSK, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM (11g) BPSK, QPSK, CCK (11b)
Security: 64/128-bit WEP Data Encryption, WPA (TKIP with IEEE 802.1x) and AES
Standards: IEEE 802.11b/g
Temperature: 0 to 55°C
Transmitted Power: 16dBm ~ 18dBm
WPA: Yes
can someone explain it? and is this something that may be feasable? or should I look for a different model?
