The little fuel pump symbol on the dash usually has an arrow pointing to the side with the fuel door/lid. Comes in handy when switching cars or driving other vehicles.
I just make assumptions.
American - my side
Not American - the other side

Google already knows your secrets. If I told you, other people would know, and it would become meaningless.
Case in point:
I was a passenger in a car today, and the driver turned on the radio to hear the traffic report. Ten minutes later, a mouthful of jargon, and she kind of knew which route to take. Meanwhile, I opened up waze (http://www.waze.com/), had social GPS, traffic updates, police updates, etc. and knew exactly which route would be best. To me, this is something a lot of poeple don't know about that saves me a lot of time.
What about you? What's something you've learned that's almost second nature to you at this point, but when you take a step back, you realize others could truly benefit from that knowledge and/or save a lot of time?
Sure. That's what you do while the light's red. And also for the next 10 goddamn seconds after the light turns green.so there are people posting on websites while driving? that's safe...

You can pull over for tailgaters in traffic. Then they become the problem of the guy who was ahead of you, and you produce far less stomach acid.
:hmm:
Tell that to New Orleans.
Did that for years but still found plenty that don't work for a motorcycle.Induction loop road sensors.
Find their positions, learn traffic light patterns, stop waiting.
I started working at a particular location in late 2011 and GMaps always told me to take I-85 instead of the more direct (from my location) GA-29. They run parallel. I left the WiFi stuff on for Google to see what I was doing daily and checked again a year later and now it recommends my route every time.I have a route I take to work most days. Google Maps/Waze/everything says it takes longer than alternate routes, but the way the lights flow it is easily the fastest trip and the one with the least amount of hassle (unlike other routes I don't have to merge across traffic into the left lane for example).
Well, I am not the ONLY person that knows of this route, I learned it following others. But enough don't take it that I can.
