What's Texas like? Are these girls two of a kind? Or am I in the wrong state?

Texas people are very friendly and nice. People here are a lot more well mannered too.

The living standards are cheaper too. But it is dang hot down in Texas.

Texas, California, and Florida are the three 'hottest' states.

University of Texas at Austin was ranked #1 party school.

Texas has the highest number of trucks per capita.

Houston was the previous fat capital of the world.

Lot of trucks as in huge delivery trucks? God I hate those.

ROFL... No. Pickup Trucks to everyone not in Texas.

I moved from Philly to Houston in 1992. There are plenty of things to dislike about Houston but overall, the people are MUCH friendlier than Philly / Jersey. From what I've seen, Jersey girls are just about the bitchiest things on two legs, it doesn't take much to improve on the situation.

Whether the weather is hot or not...

What can be said about Texas? We were our own country for nine years...we have our own Bud Light Real Men of Genius commercial...the state is freaking HUGE with every climate possible sometime during the year...and our governor's hair can beat up any other governor's hair. All in all, I'm a fan of my state. And yes, all that flag-waving did make me thirsty! :~]

What i've learned about texas so far:

1) Austin is an awesome city

2) There's lots of racism in East Texas

3) San Antonio is the "fat capital of the world"

Texas tends to be alot friendlier than most Northern States. It was a huge difference when I moved from Michigan to Texas. Of course, you get alot more of the good old boy network.

Good ol boy?

Do you find people to be nicer and less rude in Texas? Glad you moved there?

Country people. Guess it's a southern term, heck I don't really know how to explain it to ya.

Used in this sort of context: "hes just a good ol boy"

Country people or country club people(old money). Masons and such.
Kind of opposite meanings really.
